Fall 2025 Update
The Fall 2025 Agency Update highlights the consolidation of our Disaster Recovery and Local Government Assistance divisions into one Office of Community Development. This edition spotlights our Local Government Assistance unit, and provides an update on our Watershed Modeling initiative, following the completion of hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models for Louisiana's watersheds.
Summer 2025 Update
The Summer 2025 Special Edition Agency Update honors the 20th anniversary of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and highlights the impactful recovery work we have accomplished throughout the state. Through our housing, infrastructure and economic development programs, we have administered critical recovery funds that have made a lasting difference in communities impacted by these storms.

The Spring 2025 Agency Update highlights key initiatives that strengthen Louisiana’s resilience through mitigation efforts, infrastructure improvements and FORTIFIED building practices, demonstrating how LOCD-DR is helping Louisiana communities rebuild stronger and more resilient to withstand future storms.
Fall 2024 Update
The Fall 2024 Agency Update features LOCD-DR’s administration of recovery funds in response to the 2020-2021 disaster events (Hurricanes Laura, Delta and Ida and the May 2021 Severe Storms) through programs focused on housing, economic revitalization and infrastructure.
